John Prindle Scott - A Saginaw Native
Songwriters Stevie Wonder and John Prindle Scott are separated by seventy-five years, but they are linked to Saginaw and have received recognition for their compositions.
John Prindle Scott (1877-1932) was an American author, lecturer, and composer. He studied with private tutors at Oberlin College in Ohio, and settled in Saginaw, where he continued his musical career as a vocal teacher and concert performer.
Allison Dakos, soprano, will sing "Come, Ye Blessed" by Scott at worship on Sunday, January 25, 10:30 a.m.
