What a Lift!

New components arrive by truck.  The pallet of chests and materials, weighing more than one ton, is removed thanks to the generosity of a neighborhood forklift operator.  Once unpacked, pipes and windchests are prepared for installation.

Installation Begins

Organ installation begins as a new chest for the 16’ Open Wood - six pipes per the routed toe holes - is prepared in the chamber's northeast corner.  Note the walls and floor: cleaned, repaired, painted with a reflective gloss, made electrically safe with new line and conduit.  The low octave of the 16’ Dulciana is returned to its home while builders “look up” to the Swell division in preparation for wiring and pipes.

Stained and Consoled

Craftsman at the Colby shop in Johnson City, Tennessee, diligently prepare the new organ console by staining the stop jambs and regulating the keyboards.
