Equinox - Ovations

Audience members offered two standing ovations for the Equinox Celtic Band, which performed a Friends of Music concert on March 3, 4:00 p.m., at historic First Congregational Church.  Equinox has played at dozens of music and cultural festivals throughout the region.

Equinox is made up of six multi-talented musicians: Ryan Fitzgerald, Leslie Gregory, Jean Marie Learman, Dennis Lowe, Kathy Morris, and Vern Pococke. At the Celtic core of the band are traditional pipes, fiddle, flute, whistles, and the concertina. By adding guitars, the mandolin, and Middle Eastern and West African percussion instruments, the band expands an ancient music to new dimensions.

The ensemble was joined by collaborative artists Malia Farley, Todd Farley, Adriel Ruben Pires Moraes, and Nicholas Roditcher.
