Friends of Music to Visit Historic Organ in Caro - Join Them

Friends of Music are making a trip to historic First Presbyterian Church of Caro on the morning of Saturday, April 27. In addition to touring the beautiful sanctuary, Friends will hear sounds from the unaltered Aeolian-Skinner organ, built from 1948 to 1952. Guests will be treated to a forty-five minute recital highlighting the instrument's tonal resources. Susan Reim, host organist photographed below, graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN, and the famous Juliard School of Music, will perform "Rex: The King of Instruments" collaboratively with a young narrator from her congregation. Organists Steven Egler and Nicholas Schmelter will also perform. Then, all will visit J. J. Jamokes for lunch. Reserve your place in the tour by contacting Nicholas Schmelter.

Photographs are taken from the website of First Presbyterian Church, Caro.
